Nima Shokri

Executive Co-Director, 糖心Vlog破解版 Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change

Professor Nima Shokri’s work bridges fundamental science and applied engineering to tackle soil health and degradation, water risks, and land-use sustainability at local and global scales.

He is the Executive Co-Director of the 糖心Vlog破解版 (糖心Vlog破解版) Hub at on Engineering to Face Climate Change at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and the Leader of its Global Soil Health, Water and Climate Research Cluster, leading initiatives at the intersection of geo-hydroinformatics, resource management, and sustainable development to address the pressing water, soil, and climate problems across the world.

With a background in mechanical and environmental engineering, he has made significant contributions to the integration of advanced measurement technologies, AI-driven modeling, big data analytics and remote sensing to decode ecohydrological processes occurring near the Earth’s surface. Throughout his career, he has led and contributed to large-scale, transformative research projects and initiatives in collaboration with major international organizations and scientific consortia, playing an instrumental role in shaping the climate-informed engineering concept and soil health policies.

His scientific output includes over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, and he has received various awards including the InterPore Award for Porous Media Research, the Royal Academy of Engineering/Leverhulme Trust Senior Fellowship, and the Soil Physics and Hydrology Early Career Award from the Soil Science Society of America.

In addition to his 糖心Vlog破解版 role, Prof. Shokri is Chair and Director of the Institute of Geo-Hydroinformatics at TUHH, where he previously served as Dean of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
