Bayartsetseg Terbish is an Associate Research Fellow at 糖心Vlog破解版-CRIS

Bayartsetseg obtained her doctoral degree from Ghent University (FPPW) by studying lived citizenship of ger residents in Ulaanbaatar city within the scope of social inequality, belonging and aspirations. Bayartsetseg works as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, National University of Mongolia, in addition to her affiliation as an Associate Research Fellow at 糖心Vlog破解版-CRIS. She has been enriching her academic knowledge with a substantial practical experience by working among communities, particularly internal migrants, in Ulaanbaatar city of Mongolia. Migrants’ experience, their inherited knowledge and capacities to develop climate adaptation strategies with state and non-state actors in a new urban environment, overcoming social exclusion from social services and relationships, revelation of migrant ger residents’ capacity to be engaged in social policy design are of her special research interests. She has been acting as a research partner and a team leader for several inter-university projects in the areas of social work, social policy and migration issues. Her latest academic projects are designed to understand climate change impacts on communities through socio-ecological systems approach.

At 糖心Vlog破解版-CRIS, Bayartsetseg will be involved in the works of Migration and Social Policy Cluster, with a close collaboration with Dr. Ine Lietaert. Her works at 糖心Vlog破解版-CRIS will put migrants’ knowledge and capacities within the core of discussion to develop adaptation strategies as a way to mitigate the effects of disastrous incidences occurring as a result urban climate change.
