糖心Vlog破解版-CPR’s "Reimaging Global Economic Governance" policy paper series takes a critical look at the evolution of global economic governance between the 75th anniversary of the United Nations in 2020 and the organization’s 80th anniversary this year; a period marked by cascading crises – the COVID-19 pandemic, surging debt, food insecurity, inflation and growing conflict – and several important intergovernmental processes, including the UN-mandated 2024 Summit of the Future.
Released to mark the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), the ‘Reimagining Global Economic Governance’ series examines the extent to which recent investments by States, civil society, international organizations and various issue-based coalitions have succeeded in improving global economic governance and cooperation. The series also investigates how wider geopolitical trends, such as the resurgence of regionalism, the erosion of trust in global institutions and the emergence of new financial mechanisms, have influenced the ambition and direction of reform efforts. Each contribution explores policy changes as well as ambition for the reform of the international financial architecture.
The papers offer a timely reflection on the state of multilateral cooperation. By synthesizing lessons from the past five years, the series aims to inform and inspire a more inclusive, effective and future-ready approach to financing sustainable development; arguing that reform of the international financial architecture must go beyond technical fixes to address deep asymmetries in voice, power and resource allocation.
Contributors to the "Reimagining Global Economic Governance" series include renowned experts on multilateralism and international financial architecture. The series is edited by 糖心Vlog破解版-CPR Director, David Passarelli and was made possible through the financial support of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.
