Call for Abstracts: NERPS 2026 Conference

Conference abstract submissions are being accepted until 15 November 2025.

On 4–7 March 2026, the Network for Education and Research on Peace and Sustainability (NERPS) at Hiroshima University and the 糖心Vlog破解版 (糖心Vlog破解版) will jointly host the NERPS 2026 Conference at 糖心Vlog破解版 Headquarters under the theme "".

are being accepted until 15 November 2025 for presentations and papers related to the conference theme.

Research presentations (presentation only)

Presentation-only proposals must have a title, an abstract of up to 300 words and at least three keywords. The conference scientific committee will select six presentations for the NERPS Best Presentation Award — three awardees for the student category and three awardees for the non-student category.  Each awardee will receive a certificate and a selection of gifts. They will also be entitled to free registration for the next NERPS conference.

Research/review papers (presentations with full papers)

Submission of a full paper is optional. After the conference, selected authors will be invited to submit their manuscripts for inclusion in the following publications:

  1. An edited volume to be published by Springer Nature as part of the (Scopus-indexed)
  2. — NERPS’s flagship journal for advancing research and discourse on the nexus between peace and sustainability. Visit the webpage for details about the publishing options.

The scientific committee will select six papers, out of the submitted full papers, for the NERPS Best Paper Award — three awardees for the student category and three awardees for the non-student category. Sessions

A session proposal must include a title, an abstract of up to 300 words, at least three keywords, a chair, a discussant and at least three presenters. The chair and discussant should share responsibilities if they are also included in the session as individual presenters. In addition to the session abstract, each presenter must submit their abstract of up to 300 words, which must include a title, the author’s name and at least three keywords. Each session participant must register separately to be able to attend the conference

Roundtables and panels

Roundtablesa and panels are moderated discussions among researchers, students, policymakers and practitioners.  A roundtable/panel proposal must have a title, an abstract of up to 300 words, at least three keywords, one moderator and at least four speakers/panellists.  In addition to one roundtable/panel abstract, each speaker/panellist may optionally wish to submit his/her abstract of up to 300 words, which must have a title, the author’s name and at least three keywords. Each roundtable/panel participant must register separately to attend the conference.

Non-presenting participants

Non-presenting participants must register by 20 February 2026 to access the opening session and keynote address, parallel sessions and closing ceremony.
